Hi! I’m Jo. 🙋🏻‍♀️

My adventure started in the spring of 2020 when I tanned my first Coyote, shortly after that, knew it was something I wanted to pursue. I began to read as many books as I could on the tanning process, and would tan any animal I was given just to learn what to do. That journey started Jo’s Critter Tanning.

Soon after I started tanning, I wanted to do something with the furs I had accumulated, so I taught myself how to sew. Once again, I read as many books as I could, and asked questions in Facebook groups on how to do things right. Once I had learned the fundamentals of fur sewing, I started making my own patterns, and that has allowed my creativity to run wild.

Today, I am Jo’s Custom Fur Crafting. Sewing beautiful garments to keep you warm, or being able to create beautiful hunting trophies is where my passion truly lies. I enjoy the creativity in making one of a kind custom pieces.

I am no longer offer tanning services at this time, but I am happy to take your garment tanned hides and make you a one of a kind piece, that is custom made just for you.
